AeroHistory: Draw the Line 40th

AeroHistory: 40 years ago today!!! Aerosmith releases 'Draw the Line", the fifth studio album, released December 1, 1977. It was recorded in an abandoned convent near New York City, rented out for that purpose. The portrait of the band was drawn by the celebrity caricaturist Al Hirschfeld. Hirschfeld is known for hiding Nina's name, written in capital letters ("NINA"), in most of the drawings he produced after her birth. Can you find NINA? Songs on 'Draw the Line' include: 1. AeroHistory: The Simpsons 1991

AeroHistory: November 21, 1991 - The Simpsons "Flaming Moe's" is the 10th episode of Season 3. Aerosmith appears in the episode and were the first band to make a guest appearance on the show. Their dialogue was recorded in Boston with Hank Azaria, the voice of Moe, who flew over to record his part with them and help them with their lines. The episode has been included in best Simpsons episode lists by IGN, Entertainment Weekly, AskMen.com and AOL.

AeroHistory: Done With Mirrors

AeroHistory: 32 years ago today, November 9, 1985 Aerosmith releases their the eighth studio album 'Done With Mirrors'. The release marked the return of Joe Perry, who had left the group in 1979, and Brad Whitford, who had left the band in 1981. In keeping with the title, all the text on the original releases of the album was written back-to-front, and could be read normally by holding it up to a mirror. AeroHistory: When it all began

Aerosmith played their first ever show at Miscoe Hill School in Mendon, MA.The new band got the gig because Joe Perrys mother, who worked at a nearby school, knew someone at Miscoe Hill, which was then known as Nipmuc Regional High School, and helped set it up. At the time, Ray Tabano was on rhythm guitar. He would be replaced by Brad Whitford a year later. Tickets for the show cost about a dollar.

AeroHistory: Music from Another Dimension!

The fifteenth studio album by Aerosmith, released on November 6, 2012. This was their first studio album since 2004's 'Honkin' on Bobo' and the first to feature all-new material since 2001's 'Just Push Play', marking the longest gap between Aerosmith's studio albums. The album was released in a single CD edition, along with a deluxe version. It is the last album in Aerosmith's current recording contract with Sony/Columbia Records and was produced by Jack Douglas, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Marti Fre
